 Viable Resist Processes

Photoprocesses

  • Presensitized boards
  • GC Chemicals PES spray
  • Riston lamination film

Physical resists

Toner transfer with laser printer or copier- some printers won't work

Paint and burn off with the laser

Materials

PCBs are the primary need

Copper, brass for artistic purposes

marble (dissolves in HCL)

Aluminum- very exothermic, prone to thermal runaway

Steel- generally, must be electrically etched away.  Stainless puts toxic chromium into the electrolyte.
