We’re a community of makers and tinkerers, amateurs and professionals, engineers, artists, and so much more. OUR SHOP
ATX Hackerspace is here to serve Austin’s creative community. We offer our members key-card access to over 8,00SF of air-conditioned workspace. Inside you’ll find like-minded creatives, professional-grade equipment, a diversity of classes and friendly guidance if you need it from our shop stewards and other members. Below are just some examples of the shops and equipment that we maintain. Check out our list of tools for a more complete list.
METAL SHOP
A complete metal shop with MIG, TIG and stick welding, band saws and grinders.
WOODWORKING
A well-appointed wood shop with enough equipment to produce anything from custom cabinetry to a cutting board.
LASER CUTTING
We have 2 laser cutters, both of which can be scheduled for 3 hour blocks.
CNC ROUTER
A large format 5'x8' CNC with vCarve as well as a Shark HD 3 for smaller projects.
3D PRINTING
A fleet of 3D printers including FDM and SLA with print sizes ranging up to 9`` cube.
INDUSTRIAL SEWING
Industrial Juki sewing machine with servo control.
